布尔法则

假设函数 f(x) 的值在点 x_i 上以 h=x_(i+1)-x_i 等距间隔制表，因此 f_1=f(x_1), f_2=f(x_2), ..., f_5=f(x_5)。那么，布尔法则近似于 f(x) 的积分，由 牛顿-科茨类公式给出

int_(x_1)^(x_5)f(x)dx=2/(45)h(7f_1+32f_2+12f_3+32f_4+7f_5)-8/(945)h^7f^((6))(xi).

这个公式经常被错误地称为博德法则（Abramowitz and Stegun 1972, p. 886），这是早期参考文献中印刷错误的结果，但实际上归功于布尔（Boole and Moulton 1960）。
