完全正则空间

一个 拓扑空间 X 使得对于每个闭子集 C of X 和每个点 x in X\C, 存在一个 连续函数 f:X->[0,1] 使得 f(x)=0 且 f(C)={1}。

这是大多数作者给出的定义（Kelley 1955, p. 117; Willard 1970, pp. 94-95）。然而，一些作者（例如，Cullen 1968, p. 130）要求附加条件，即 X 是一个 T1-空间。在任何情况下，每个完全正则空间都是正则的，反之则不然。
